Who am I ?

It’s a question I keep asking myself at times but let’s not get philosophical .

The child who didn’t just use bucket tool in MS paint to fill in shapes, I spent hours using the shape tool and bucket tool to build my own fairytale castle, which explains

my deep thriving love for designing.

Now the usual stuff just like any other designers I like to sketch, paint and create things. I like watching movies, animes, k-drama, reading books, journaling and listening to music.

I think the most successful designs are the ones that feel the most human.

So, does this conclude that I posses all the traits for being a designer, please let me know.

Let’s get in touch and have a great chat over a coffee about how to make this world a better place with our designs.

Now let’s have the professional talk

I am a designer who is driven by curiosity and my design style evolve through

Cinema is not just entertainment, to me it’s a ultimate empathy machine. It allows me to step into different shoes - experiencing diverse cultures, eras and perspectives broadening my understanding beyond personal experiences. I am driven by the idea that the right film can change the way we perceive the world. For example in the movie ‘Spirited away’ the protagonist’s journey from being a fretful, homesick child to accepting herself and regaining her sense of individuality and emerging as a changed, wiser adult symbolizes self discovery, inner strength and growth which totally resonates with me on a personal level.

Reading books was not an early habit but something I discovered in my late teens when I was in total solitude and a sense of curiosity. Totally glad I was driven by that sense, which ultimately lead me to read my very first book ‘To kill a mocking bird’ the book that actually got me immersed and left me astounded. For me reading books has lead to improved concentration, a wider vocabulary, viewing life in a philosophical point of view and yes total personal growth.

Listening to music

03

Music is the universal language, don’t you all agree wth me?

My day starts with a ‘burning fire’ of vibrant rock which makes my morning more energetic followed up with a ‘warm blanket’ of soothing indie that keeps me calm, composed and accompanied while I design. Then a little ‘Glimmering ocean’ of pop melodies that make my coffee break even more euphoric. Then a ‘blooming flower’ of theatrical pop ballad which I sing along dramatically while doing my chores that makes me feel like a Disney princess and as dusk hits and the sky lets her hair down it’s time for a ‘gentle breeze’ of soft, slow melodies while I fall asleep in my bed soundly. When I say music gets me through my day it really does.

Designing

04

Yes, I’ll be designing even when I’m not designing. Designing has been an integral part of me since the beginning. My design process is 50% experimentation and 50 % obsession. When I design I have the luxury of begin uncompromisingly myself. My interest being as a hobby -a quite rebellion against the ordinary and evolved into a daily practice of virtual storytelling. If my soul had a default setting it would be designing - Joking, not really.
